Hi Shelley1

The new brochure with a preview of 2014 holidays will be out in the next few weeks!

Of course, ideas on where you'd like to travel are always welcome on this community - remember Route 66 started its life here in this forum!

Kindest regards,

Julia

Shelly,

You get my support, love going to the USA and have visited many Cities over there.

Last 3 years have done a touring holiday with JY gives you chance to see all the great places between cities you cant on your own, 2010 was Golden West, 2011 Parks and Cayons (phoenix to vegas), 2012 Route 66.

This year I'md oing National Parks, Canyons, LBH & Mount Rushmore flying from Manchester in september.

So am running out of options as I've visited a lot of the other places on offer at present.

I remember when i first came to JY they did a music capitals tour starting in Atlanta ending in New Orleans taking in Chatanooga, Memphis & Nashville which i would have liked.

Some have mentioned Battlefields/civil war and that would appeal also.

How about the Carolinas, supposed to be beautiful but not been.

Been a Blues fan I previously suggest route 61, follows Mississippi river, could start in Chicago and pick the river/route up on 3rd day in St Louis, then make way to New Orleans via places like Memphis, Clarksdale (birth place of the blues), Vicksburg, Baton Rouge, etc.

So come on just you lets have a few new hols to choose from.

Mick.

I went on the Nashville and Memphis tour which was really good, but wasn't around for Long in the brochures I think due to lack of interest.

I also went on the East Coastlner tour which was really good so much to see and loved the civil war side of the tour ..

I agree Mick. I had intended to go on the music tour Nashville etc but it disappeared. If they started a Blues tour I would be right there behind you! 🙂

Count me in for a Blues or Southern states music tour. Should we start up a petition? 🙂

Hi,

You get my support.

Whilst the oresent tours are amazing, i think a holiday such as a week in washington DC would be great or a week in Boston/Los Angeles ect. There's so much i want to see in Washington that i would need about a week. I guess it's all about what will sell but i alwiays find with the US tours is that there's not enough time in the city itself.

Julia, has JY considered offering holidays such as a week/8 days break in New york or Washington/LA ect???

Thanks

Certainly would agree with New York a week would be good, think you could add Chicago to your list been many times and you can definately fill a week in. Not sure if a week is too long in LA (Poss 5 days), never been to Washington.

To take the suggestion further what about some twin city breaks, 4 or 5 nights in two cities and fly between. I've done this on my own and makes for a very good holiday for those that like visiting interesting cities.

New York & Boston, Chicago & Memphis (music fans), San Fran & LA, Philadelphia & Washington, etc. The list is endless.

Sue,

Have you ever been to Chicago ?

Its my fav city in the States some of the local Blues musicians are awesome and also worth taking in a Jazz Club and Piano Bar. Also loads of things to see and do during the day. Its abut 3 years since I've been other than 2 nights and one day at start of Route 66 last year.

Reckon you would love it.

Being a big music fan I was disappointed to see that JY didn't offer a trip visiting the 'music cities' in US. So I booked with another company and have just returned. We started in Chicago (loved it) and ended up in new Orleans via St Louis, Nashville and Memphis. It was an amazing tour and I'm sure if JY introduced something similar, it would be very popular. I'd do it again!
