I have taken the plunge (no pun intended):rolleyes: and booked the Island of Elba trip for the Tuscany holiday. I am not that great on small boats, but did not want to miss out on this visit. Please could you let me know how long the boat trip is? (a friend of mine has recommended some very good sea sickness pillls!)

I've been told that the crossing takes about an hour and it is "usually" very calm.

When I went on this tour I did not opt of this trip, but the people that did said it was worth going on and no one said it was a bad crossing...

HI Cindy - that's reassuring - I went on a night boat trip in Cyprus a few years ago- going there I was fine but when the boat moored & was rocking side to side I went a bit green!
