Hi Olly. Wanted to ask a few questions about the hotel if there is any chance of finding out please?

I looked on their website and there is no way of really telling but one of the reviews on Trip Advisor mentioned there being a mini bar/fridge in the room. I was wondering if there are ones in the standard rooms? Always useful for keeping soft drinks cold.

On the same theme. I know this is not usual but I am sure that (again ) on Trip Advisor I read a review mentioning tea/ coffee making facillities in the room. Would certainly save me taking my travel kettle. LOL

Does the hotel exchange currency do you know? Back in the day the hotels in Rabac used to, and I always get nervous using ATM's in other countries.

Thanks

Olly

Hi Bondensbabe

I have emailed the hotel for you so I will let you know when I hear more.

If you want to have a look, their website is:

http://www.valamar.com/rabac-hotel-sanfior

By the way, I wouldn't worry too much about using ATMs in another country. I've done this lots of times and never had a problem. Just remember to let your bank know in advance.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Thanks Olly. Yes have looked at the hotel website. Really impressive.

And I understand what you mean about using ATM's but it still freaks me out for some stupid reason.

Good to see that the 1st May departure is nearly fully booked Olly. How many people does that make?

Hi Bondensbabe

Fair enough about the ATMs - you should take your spending money in whatever form you are comfortable with.

As for numbers, we now have 32 people on this holiday - there is only one place left.

Hi Bondensbabe

I've heard from the hotel - all rooms have mini-bars but not tea/coffee facilities and you can change money at reception.

Thank you on both points Olly. It is useful to know these things in advance. Good to read the holiday has sold well.

Don't know how interesting potential visitors would find this Olly, but Rabac has a nice little webcam which operates 24/7. Useful for keeping an eye on the weather and it has some nice views of the harbour area

One month to go! Meant to ask Olly. I know you said that the tour for 1st May is fully booked. Just curious on the age range and the propotion of women to men? Also is there any entertainment in the hotel at night at the time of year when I am going? Everything that I have looked at seems to indicate that that only happens June-September.

With the Tour Guide being local is she/he more likely to be meeting us at Zagreb than at Gatwick? I know there is going to be a rep at Gatwick so I am not too worried about this.

Thanks as always

Hi Bondensbabe

Of the 25 people on this tour, eight are men and 25 are women, with ages ranging from early 50s to early 80s.

I'm not sure if there is entertainment at the hotel. I can't see any mention of it on the website but you might find there is something provided when you get there. I'm sure the rest of the group will help keep you entertained!

Your local guide will meet you at the airport in Zagreb.

Hello Olly ( and Bondensbabe - sorry to muscle in on your thread!)

How many of the 33 going on this holiday are flying from Gatwick as I am?

Do we get JY luggage labels, or some other way of picking out other JY travellers? I would like to meet up with a friendly soul before Security as I have acquired a couple of large lumps of titanium since I last flew and am a bit concerned about getting left behind as a security risk!!

What are your thoughts about paying for priority boarding on Easy Jet? Is it worth the money or better to save the cash and take pot luck?

Bondensbabe - looking forward to meeting you at Gatwick or in Croatia
