New Zealand Tour leaving 11th Jan 2012

I know it's a bit early for a answer, but I was just wondering about the current weather situation out in Christchurch ie, earth quakes I understand it wasnt as bad as the begining of the year, but when would/do JY make a decision if they were to change the itinary or hotels if things get worse out there? or does it get left as it is and see how things pan out while we are out there?

I know I am worrying to soon, it's just I do like to be organised. !!!!!

Hi Cindy

I'm not aware of any changes to your holiday at the moment but as you know we will be in touch with you straight away if any become necessary. We will of course be keeping an eye on the situation and your safety will be our priority.

As you mention, the quake wasn't as big as the previous one, so fingers crossed everything can go ahead as planned.

Kind regards

I'm booked on the HK, New Zealand trip for February 2012. Trying to check the baggage allowances for each flight. BMI from Edinburgh to Heathrow, then Air New Zealand, can you confirm what the allowance is for each flight, i've looked on the websites and its says 20kg hold baggage for bmi and 23kg for air new zealand, with a maximum size of bag for cabin baggage (and a weight limit of 7kg for air new zealand). Will my baggage be checked right through or will i have to collect and check it in again at Heathrow, i'm already getting nervous.
