Something which has been puzzling me for a while.

Why do some of the names of users have line through them? Then when I accidentally clicked on one today, it said in the profile that they were 'banned'.

Why?

Also some of the users have very weird and wonderful names - but then I suppose mine may seem a little 'odd'. (or arrogant)

The banned accounts are all guilty of trying to put spam messages on to the Community, selling watches, pharmaceuticals and so on.

Some names are more unusual than others. I think it's one of the great things about the Community that people can call themselves what they like. Your username is fine - I hope you won't change it!

whereas my user name is very unfriendly if I am honest...its my maiden name...OLLY if I change my user name do I lose the posting total I have gained??? as I would hate to have to go back to being a newbie..LOL.

I got the 'Lovely' tag on a Nile Cruise - tour manager gave us the title 'The Lovelies' - so there are other Lovelies about (Lovely Alison, Jane, Heather, Sarah, June etc.) Not sure how the blokes feel about it though. Somehow it has stuck so don't think I'll change it.

I assumed Nixon was your maiden name. Don't change it - we won't know who you are.

OK no idea where the reputation symbol has gone I cant find it now.. HONEST I am not going mad!!!! it was were somebody had liked the post or found it helpfull they clicked on it??? My reputaion was 3 you had 1 and Mick had 0..don't panic nothing to worry about maybe BEN or OLLY can explain, and also explain where my reputation has gone LOL!!!!

Thanks for the information. So a Reputation is a bit like a 'brownie point' then - been a few years since I got any of those.....

Not to worry how many I have then, as long as I can answer a few questions and help folks out - I aim to please. (I don't do 'lol' - I am not one of Life's lollers).

I do have a reputation of liking to party and having a good time on all the trips I do though - and all those smashing tour managers help every time. Never let me down. Guess I'll just settle for that. Prague, Peru & Route 66 - bring it on - Oh Yes! Life is too short to stuff a mushroom....
