Hi Olly, Another query - I am flying from Newcastle to Heathrow on 5th May to join the China trip. Where do I head for once I arrive at Heathrow? I might add I have never flown from Heathrow, so am not familiar with it at all. Jennifer

Hello Jensy, when you arrive at Heathrow after your connecting flight, all you should need to do is to go from the arrivals area to the departure area and find your gate. You will receive boarding passes for both your flights when you check in at Newcastle, and your luggage will be transferred.

If you still do not feel confident, remember that you will be able to meet up with the rest of your holiday makers. You will all be together and you will all manage to make it onto your departing flight.

for assistance, or ring the Heathrow Airport Customer Service line on 0904 2562224.

I hope this information helps, and if you have any further queries then feel free to email me.

kind regards

Dear Olly -I was pleased to see Jensy has the same concerns as myself! Please can you confirm that I have no need to claim my luggage on arriving at Heathrow - it will be transferred directly to the China Flight.I am flying from Manchester. Thanks Denise.

Hi James, sorry but I feel more confused now as when I rang the helpline regarding transfer of luggage they said I would have to collect it after my arrival from Newcastle at Heathrow, and take it myself as it would not be transferred because Newcastle was a different airline from Air China which would be the next part of my journey. Could you just confirm that your information is the correct information please? Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

I have been in touch with our aviation department to clear up this question. You will need to collect your luggage at Heathrow and check it in again for the flight to China, so the information you received when you called us was correct. But this is nothing to worry about and I'm sure you'll still have a wonderful holiday.

James passes on his apologies for the incorrect information.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Hi Denise

You won't need to collect your luggage and check it in again - your bags will be put on to the China flight for you.
