Whats the best currency's to take for this holiday. I DON'T normally take travellers cheques, I normally have cash and a credit card?

For any other excursion we might want to go on what currency will the rep want to be paid in? Are credit Cards used where we are staying? I am booked for the add on as well, when I get the paperwork through will it have other things listed that I might be able to do?.

Thank you

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

We recommend that travellers take both cash and credit cards - travellers cheques are difficult to exchange in Eastern Africa and credit cards are becoming more widely accepted.

When buying the optional excursions these will need to be paid in cash. We quote the price in £ Sterling but Kenyan Schillings are also accepted at the local exchange rate.

Finally, information on all the optional tours available on your trip, both the main tour and add-on will be included in the information sent to you 2-3 weeks before you travel.

Kind regards

Julia, your editor.
