I have booked to go on the Parks and Canyons tour next year and realized my passport will expire five months after my return. Will I have to renew it? Also I acquired my ESTA on line last February for a trip to USA that month - will I have to go through that precedure again if I do have to renew my passport? It was a nightmare applying for it!!

I'm sorry to say you will have to apply for a new passport and then make a new ESTA application for the new passport.

What bad luck that your passport expires then - but I'm sure a wonderful holiday will make up for it! And it should be easy to fill in the ESTA form as you've done it once before.
