Hi

can you please tell me how many people have booked this trip. Also can I pre book any trips before I go. How much currency do you think we need for the two night stay over in Hong Kong? Thanks

Rosemary

Hi Rosemary

So far 34 people have booked this holiday. It isn't possible to pre-book excursions for this trip so I have copied in the details of last year's optional excursions below, to help you budget how much you will need.

Hong Kong is one of my favourite places in the world but it is very wealthy and can be quite expensive, so I would allow at least £35 per day here, as you will need to buy lunch and dinner. If you want to keep it cheap, it's easy to buy some very tasty noodle dishes for a few pounds, while at the other end of the scale, Hong Kong also has some of the best restaurants in Asia. So it's really up to you how much you spend.

If you want to do some inexpensive sightseeing, I would suggest a trip on the Star Ferry, a visit to the lively Kowloon markets and a ride on the funicular railway up to Victoria Peak for an amazing view of the city. It's cheap and easy to get around on the very modern underground trains.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor
