Hi I did this trip in March 2015 and loved it!  If you put "Iceland" into the search engine you will come across my review which I'm sure will answer most of your questions.  The weather was very changeable but we had a beautiful day for the Golden Circle tour and we got to see the Northern Lights.  The food was superb, the best I've had on any holiday and the hotel was excellent, also very central.  I strongly recommend this trip as being one of the best I've done!

I am Soooooo looking forward to this trip. Hope to see the Northern Lights ------ it would be the icing on the cake ---- but if not I know it is going to be a wonderful experience.
