After many a happy hour spent browsing the JY web site to decide my next adventure, I have finally booked the Chile, Argentina and Brazil holiday for 9th May 2017.

This will be my 7th JY long haul holiday and I am already getting excited. I went with JY to Peru a few years ago so now I'll be seeing more of South America.

It certainly looks to be a busy and active action packed holiday.

Anybody been on this trip and any comments or suggestions ??

Thanks .... Pete

Hello Pete,

I went on this trip earlier this year. I must say that I was not overly impressed with what I saw of Chile. The second day tour to Valpariso is not recommended. Including terrible traffic in Santiago the whole trip took nearly 12 hours and all we saw a poet's house, an admittedly good lunch and then a quick walk through town to meet the coach and back.

The journey over the Andes to Argentina was spectacular. Highlight of Argentina was a tango show with excellent meal. Brazil was even more interesting with breath-taking views from the Christ the Redeemer statue. Hotel was particularly good (apart from the lifts) being sited right on the sea front with spectacular views along Copacabana beach.

Weather varied from very wet to very hot, but never cold, apart from when crossing the Andes.

Apart from the one reservation, a most enjoyable trip. Enjoy!

Hi Pete,

I did this tour with Travelsphere in 2012, the year before JY introduced it and they have identical itineraries.  Here's a review of my tour:

http://forum.justyou.co.uk/thread-54850.html

I had a fantastic time and it is my second favourite tour ever!  You will see spectacular scenery as you go over the Andes and again at Iguazu - be sure to see the Falls from both sides.  I loved the ranch experience in Buenos Aires (the Tigre delta was pleasant, but not very exciting).  The tango show was excellent; I hope you'll have more time at La Boca than we did!

Any questions, just ask.

All the best,

Bob

I did this tour in November 2015. I posted a comprehensive review on o1/02/2016. I suggest that you read it for some practical tips on what to expect. It was most enjoyable but there are some precautions you should take.

I am sure that you will enjoy the experience.
