Hi,

I am going to Northern Cyprus on the 13th September and have got Euros, but I have read in Northern Cyprus it's Turkish Lira but they do accept Euros.  So I've now also got a £100 worth of Lira but most of my money is in Euros.  Will this be ok or do you think I should change my Euros up to Turkish Lira?

Thanks

Caroline

Hi Caroline,

Turkish lira is the official currency, but some places do accept Euros. I should take the Euros with you, but plan on using lira - new supplies are easily available from ATM's and money change shops in Kyrenia and no doubt other places.  It's a nice destination, so have a god time
