Hi Eagles

I am booked on March 2017 trip and really looking forward to it. Do write a review of your trip on your return. This is an amazing tour.

Hi, I'm seriously thinking of booking this trip as was highly recommended by quite a few on the South Africa tour with me earlier in the year. Only thing I'm holding out on is trying to find out if November is a good time of year as rainy season just coming to an end. Any others been in November that can advise?

Hi

both myself and Jaya are doing the March tour, March is the best time to go, both for seeing the wildlife and the weather is better

Hi I did this tour in March 2014 and had a great time - the wildlife in Tortuguero is incredible and Nicaragua is wonderful.  Here's a link to the review I wrote:

Hope you have a brilliant time!

All the best,

Hi Bob

I just read your review again and have one quick question - you mention the night walk in the jungle. Are you able to let me know about this walk in a little bit more detail? What did you see and is it worth doing? I am only worried about meeting any snakes on this walk if it is still on offer!

Regards

Jaya

Hi Jaya, the night walk took place at Monteverde.  Originally it was meant to leave from the hotel grounds but for some reason this was changed and we took a minibus to a place where we got kitted out with jackets and torches.  We had a guide who brought us into the jungle and to be honest we saw very little!  As with all these nature/jungle walks it is the luck of the draw.  As far as I remember, we saw some nesting birds, a couple of spiders and other insects and a colony of leafcutter ants.  We didn't see any snakes, but that's not to say that you won't either!  The ground was rough underfoot but we all went very slowly (it was pitch dark apart from the torchlight) so this wasn't a problem.  I hope JY have changed the hotel there as it was dire (the only bad one we stayed in).

Any other questions, feel free to ask!

All the best,

Bob

Thanks Bob. Who knows if the night walk is still on offer or not. I will have to check the itinerary. I guess it is just as thrilling whether or not you see anything. I am quite excited about this trip and looking forward to seeing all the wildlife.
