I started travelling with Just You after having been on a holiday in Provence with another wellknown company where there were 3 or 4 "singles" and the rest of the group of 36 was either married couples (mainly over 70) or family groups of 2, 3 or 4. The women in the couples made it plain that they considered their husbands were God's gift to females and that any single female was obviously only after one thing! One or two others in the group were friendly but I always felt totally out on my own. I vowed I wouldn't go on such a holiday again.
I've done enough travelling on my own not to want to do that again and going with Just You gives me the best of both worlds - everything organised for me, company when I want/need it and space to be on my own if that's how I feel at any point. However one travels, being a "single" is always going to be more expensive but I do feel that I am getting value for money with JY. No-one is forced to go with JY so...

I find one of the best part of going with JY is the fact that as I am disabled the company looks after you very well, making sure that
it is suitable for you to go on. Also the tour managers so far have been told to look after me, and they do, making sure I am alright and coping. I find that very reassuring as I could be stuck not knowing if
I should do a certain activity or not. I was very ill coming back from
Kenya two years ago and the tour manager gave up her seat and
made sure she sat next to me on both flights, and even climbed over
me when I fell asleep. I think I might have ended up in a foreign
hospital if she had not been there for me. Also I am fairly shy and
nervous going on my own so its comforting to know I can talk to
him/her and they will help me. It is expensive and I would like to
do more than one in a year but I would rather have it as it is and
feel safe and comfortable and miss out on a second holiday than
have 2 cheaper ones.
