not been on a singles holiday before so am considering just a short holiday in Britain to start with.

Would appreciate any advice.

Hi Tricia,

I've been on 8 singles holidays since 2010 and have my 9th booked for October this year.

My advice would be to perhaps consider looking at this from a different perspective; so rather than thinking about a short holiday in UK, ask yourself is there anywhere in the world that you have always wanted to visit? If the answer to that question is YES then my advice would be to go for it!

For me, I had always wanted to go on a Nile cruise. The choice was easy because, being interested in history, I had always wanted to see the sights that I had read about and (up to then) only seen as pictures in a book. I look back on that first holiday now with very happy memories. So if there is somewhere in the world that has always had a calling for you, take the opportunity and book it.

I know that it's a little daunting but it's exciting too and, having taken the plunge, I'm sure you won't look back.

All the best whatever you decide.

Hi Tricia,

I totally agree with Mike. My first of 10 trips with JY was to China. Take the plunge you will not regret it. I'm off there again next week.

Regards,

Roger.

Hi Tricia,

I agree with Mike and Roger - when I discovered JY I wasn't sure if it would be for me so I booked a holiday to Andalucia in Spain with them, as I figured if it didn't work out it was only for a week and Spain was within my comfort zone! Needless to say I had a great time and since then I have been travelling the world with them - to the US, South Africa and Zambia (with a taste of Swaziland and Botswana thrown in), India, South America, Vietnam and Cambodia, Costa Rica and Nicaragua! I'm due to head off on my 8th JY tour next week to China and deciding to travel with JY is probably the best decision I've ever made - so my advice is look through the brochure/scour the website and whatever destination most appeals to you, just go for it!

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Tricia

I too would say that pick a destination you always wanted to visit and just go ahead and book it. I did the same when I chose my first Just You holiday to Jordan - I always wanted to see Petra.

I agree with all that has been said, my first of 10 JY tours was 2006 to Boston, New England and New York..Great time I had and have not stopped travelling since.

If there's a tour in Britain that you really want to do then go for it, but if there is somewhere tugging at your heart in the BIG world then go for it...

Between us all we have travelled this world to all it's corners. I have been as far as New Zealand..so if you have any questions please just ask and one of us should know the answer..

If you have a tour and date you like, then you can go in the editors board and ask Julia how many are booked male Female ratio age range that sort of thing and hopefully she will have an idea. or ring the office and they should be able to tell you.

There are so many great holidays to choose from and the people you meet are such fun, it's a great/safe way to travel.
