I did the Peru with Amazon Add in May this year.

Everything is incredibly cheap out there and I agree with a previous post that someone placed in that the general spending money required is approx £450 for the entire holiday which would cover food, drink and general souvenirs (although if looking to purchase the vicunian woollen garments or silver jewellery you may need a little more)

I got my Peruvian currency already for Sept £500 which ought to be enough plus I have my cards if need be, when I went to Australia I took over double that and got through the lot but I did buy lots of souvenirs and pay for some additional trips out of that bearing in mind how expensive OZ is and how much cheaper Peru is

I am pleased to hear about Peruvian currency and costs. I usually take my holiday money all in local currency with cards as a back up.

It seems as if I won't need to take as much as I anticipated
