My name's Janet and I am one of the 3 booked on the Manchester flight to Cuba on 5th May. Went to Lake Garda with Just You last year and did a Turkey gulet cruise with Solataire in 2012 but this is my first long haul flight on my own so good to know I'm not the only one flying from Manchester.

I went to Cuba in March. It's a full on busy trip with 8 hotel changes, one internal flight and a couple of long journeys on the coach. If you have any specific questions just ask. Also, if you search for Cuba in the say hello to other single travellers, you'll find some helpful comments from CDM.

Thinking about booking this trip to Cuba next year

Am a nervous flyer and was just wondering if the internal flight was OK as I have heard they use old planes

The internal flight run by Cubanair is only about an hour and the plane was of Russian origin - google them. They do not generally run to timetable and the difficulty on our flight was it was delayed by 11 hours because of planes not being returned from service/repair on time and others breaking down. Our plane had come up from South America to Havana to the take us to Holguin, meaning we arrived at the hotel for breakfast rather than dinner! But hey, that is Cuba.
