Hi Dave,

I put up a reply to you on another thread (Dream Trips) but it occured to me that you might not see it! I see that you are off to Peru and the Amazon with Travelsphere later this year and could I ask you to please put up a detailed review when you get back? I'm thinking of doing this tour with TS either next year or 2016 and I'd be very interested to read your comments, especially if you think the longer itinerary (compared with the JY tour) was worth it and how you coped with altitude sickness - I get vertigo and I'm a bit anxious that the altitude might make it worse or that I'd be more susceptable to getting altitude sickness because of the vertigo! Also, the TS Amazon tour seems to be more comprehensive that the JY one, so I'm also very intrested to see what you think of it.

Anyhow I hope you have a fantastic holiday and please do let us know how you get on - it could make all the difference as to whether I do this holiday or not! When are you going?

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Bob

many thanks for your message, sorry only just seen it, i must get back to regular visits on here, yes sure i shall put up a detailed review for you, i always take notes, going in September, 18th, hopefully avoid too much rain in the amazon and mosquitos, TS tour is much better and allows more time for not a lot more time you add single supplement, i feel short of breath sometimes just venturing up our stairs in work, i read on Trip Advisor ( handy for checking out hotels etc and other useful information ) that some of these hotels do supply oxygen for anybody suffering from altitude sickness so hopefully we'll get on ok, hope you will get there and realise your dream of seeing the world

all the best

Dave

Hi Dave, thanks a million! Sept is the time that I'd be thinking of going too, so I will read your review with great interest! I was with my doctor a couple of days ago and he said you can be prescribed diamox which can prevent altitude sickness, so I think I'll go with that. A friend of mine got very bad altitude sickness in Peru but took diamox when she went to Everest base camp and she was fine there.

Have an amazing holiday!

Cheers,

Bob
