For those of you thinking of, booking or have booked, any of the Italian holidays there is an interesting programme on BBC at 9 pm. on Thursdays, Francesco's Italy Top to Toe. He was in northern Italy last night and next week is in Tuscany.

I am hoping that he gets as far as Calabria on 29th, just in time for me to go there on 31st.

I might be preaching to the converted, but I haven't seen this programme before, so do not know if it is repeat.

This is indeed a repeat on BBC4 on Thursdays. Well worth watching, I saw this the first time round but am watching again.

Next week he's in Tuscany, so anyone booked on the Tuscany trip do watch. It'll give you some idea of what to expect.

Anyone not on the Tuscany trip, he goes all the way to the toe of Italy and gives some very interesting facts about the areas he does visit.
