Anyone off to Russia on 10th May ?

This will be my first solo holiday, i normally go with my daughter or friends. So not sure what to expect.

I wondered how you got on with the Russia holiday in May? Did you have a great time? I'm going in Aug. Any observations about things like how much local currency you took, anything you wish you'd taken with you or hadn't bothered taking! I'm new to this whole singles holiday concept so any tips would be very helpful.
