Hi

I am a woman who has just had my 50th birthday. I decided to start my new solo life with a birthday party and because I wanted it to be different I hired a very professional drag queen who had strict instructions of no swearing and definitely no crudeness as there were family members of all ages attending.

He gave me the best party any woman could wish for, even the grandparents were crying with laughter and the feedback has been amazing.

I now wish to continue enjoying my life by meeting and making new friends and discovering new places both near and.far. I am finding the thought of solo holidays rather daunting so will be scouring previous posts and asking advice to try and ensure my first experience is a good one.

Welcome to you

There are many threads on here about 1st timers and the age questions etc, so have a good look through, there are a couple of video links I am one of these under the name of NIXON there is another under the name of lovelylesley. that might help you.

I have done 8 tours near and far this year I did Hong Kong and New Zealand Tour. Was amazing. I tend to pick tours with lots to see and do, not a great lover of being on a lounger.

I have always had a great laugh and I have met some fantastic people along the way. So don't waste anymore time, look at what is on offer and GO FOR IT!!

Hi Janor

I turned 50 in April, and also had a party in my house, but only music and dancing for entertainment! I have been divorced for 7 years, and have found holiday companions hard to find, and just thought of this a couple of weeks ago!

I have had a very busy year, and am thinking of booking on the Costa de la Luz holiday on 16th October to have a week of relaxing and a bit of sunshine.

I did fance the Prague/ Budapest/ Vienna, but was too short notice

Hope you decide on something nice

Hello and welcome Janor

There is a big world out there just waiting to be explored. Why don't you pick a destination you always wanted to visit and book it? I can assure you that you will have no regrets. You do not have to worry about anything travelling with Just You. I too was a bit nervous when I booked my first solo holiday with Just You, but soon realised that there was no need at all. I am going on my 4th holiday in October.

Rona, I thoroughly recommend Costa de la Luz - you will have a lovely time. I went there in May and it was fantastic.

Regards

Jaya
