Welcome to the community. You have found the right place for single holidays. So you are 'older '- so what. It does not mean anything on a JY holiday. I will be 73 when I go to China in September and I may not be the eldest, I certainly will not be the youngest. The vast majority of people do not know each other when they first meet up at the airport or the resort hotel. Your Tour Manager will arrange a welcome drink for the group all together, and everyone sits together for meals, usually around tables with 8 places. You will never be left out of anything. Take that first important step and make your booking and you will be coming back for more of the same.

You are never too old especially to go on Holiday. I am on my 4th JY holiday to Vietnam in September. Once you have been on one theres no going back. Take the plunge and book for 2013. Yes Italy would be one of my choices too.

Don't worry about your age. There is a wide range of people of all ages on these trips some young some older. I went on the Pyramid and Nile cruise holiday in 2007. Everyone was very friendly and got on regardless of age. Just You is especially geared for people on their own and I am sure that you will not feel isolated. The Tour manager will ensure that you are ok. I am going to Turkey in September and the age range is mid 20's to mid 80's. If you wish to know how many people are going on your selected tour and their ages, ask Olly. He is very helpful. Go on book that holiday. You wont be disappointed. I hesitate to guess how old 'older is' however i was 22 when i went on my first just-you to Paris and i was by far the youngest so don't worry- you'll have a great time regardless of what tour you're on. I find that age is just a number on these holidays.

There is no need to worry about age - as Mark says, age is just a number. You are as old as you feel. I have just come back from my third JY holiday and the age range was from early 40s to 90! No one cares about age. Everyone is there to have a good time and they do.

Stop worrying and go ahead and book.

Thank you for this - I feel so much better. I want to go to China too but can't make it in september as will be in the USA. Hopefully next year. Have a wonderful trip and tell me all about it.

The "age" thing is a concern for me too. It's not that age in itself is a worry, and I don't want to sound ageist. I suppose I just need reassurance that there will be people broadly around my age on a JY holiday (by broadly I think I mean 10/15 years either side).

I'm 46 and would be worried if I booked and everyone else was either under 25, or over 70.

This is all really new to me. Been on my own for nearly three years and would like to holiday again (Have been looking at Monet's garden/Paris by coach) :s

No Need to concerned about your age - I'm going on my 8th JY holiday in September and I'm definitely older too (73)! I've been on 4 long haul ones and have never been the oldest! I would never dare to go on a holiday for couples - I'd hate to have to 'tag along' with someone. With JY everyone gets on together - young and old!

I think you will be just fine I went on my first JY at 47 I am now 53 and have done 8 tours.

I found a greater spread of ages with Just You than with other escorted tour companies. Last January I went to South Africa and the age spread was from under 40 to 76 (I was the latter). Many years ago I found that guessing the ages of the ladies is very fraught, but I would have said that most people on that trip were probably in the 55 to 65 year range. I found that age appeared to have no influence on the excellent way the group gelled together. I am off to China in September.
