Hi there, just wondered if anyone is going to Kusadasi on June 19? Have been to Turkey before but not to this area. (This seems to be the earliest date possible). Thanks.

Hi I've just booked this Kusadasi trip today. I've been to Turkey twice before but not this area. I've never been away on my own before either (excited and scared)

I have looked at this holiday for October but the hotel has put me off, I've seen videos on you tube and

I'm not impressed.

I would much rather stay in the town it's self.

Dave.

Hello

Just got back from Kusadasi this week. So can answer any questions - hopefully. Also have a few tips and recomendations for future groups going on this holiday.

For a start, just get Euros. They take everything, but it is all priced in Euros and it is easier to just use euros. Don't buy things on the plane if you can help it. A can of fanta and a sprite cost £6.20 ! Other airlines seem ok with you buying a bottle of water etc. after you have checked in. Pegasus confiscated them at Izmir airport. However some were on the plane with them, so very hit and miss.

Hello, will try again to post message, but a shortened version ! Have just come back from Kusadasi, and have a lot of tips for anyone going on this hol. if interested. For one, take Euros not T.L. everything is marked up in euros. They will take any currancy, but much easier if in Euros.

Hello Carol

I am going to Kusadasi in September. Just wanted to know whether you enjoyed the trip and which excusions were worth booking. Ephesus is a definate. I was thinking about going to Samos and would have had to juggled two lots of currency so your advice regarding Euros has come in very handy. How was the hotel? I have been checking reviews on the internet and it seems to get quite a good rating. I am very much looking forward to getting away and relaxing. Regards. Mel P

Hi Mel P

Personally for me it was an 'ok' holiday but that's all. The hotel is ok, rooms are nice. The restaurant was not very good. The food often cold. The crockery was chipped and cracked so just look out for that. The snack bar however was very good with a very obliging happy chef ! Watch the salt and peppers, a lot are opposite !! We had problems with the drinks being served to us but hopefully it will be sorted out before the next group go. Although the brochure says A I is local wine and beer, they DO serve local spirits too. The trips I did not do except the included one, so can only go on general opinion. The Ephesus trip was the next afternoon after we arrived at mid night which was a shame as a lot of people were tired. However, all who went said it was very good and there is a very good local guide who knows his stuff and is his interest. Pegasus airlines ! I advise anyone to take their own food and drink (if you can) on board plane. The prices were exceptional. A can of sprite and a fanta came to £6.20. Again, it's in Euros, if you use TL or £s they charge an extra % ! Coming back however, water bottles bought in the dept. lounge were confiscated before boarding the plane ! Never known any airline doing that before, oh and it was rather randomly done! When you check in at hotel ask which block you are in. The hotel has two buildings, the lifts for one are by reception the other is by the restaurant in the second block. It will save time wondering round the first block trying to find non existant rooms !! If you intend buying presents, get them before going back to the airport as there is nothing there, apart from a rather expensive duty free shop. Kusadasi has plenty !

I am sure you will have a relaxing holiday there. The main pool is very 'lively' but there is another quieter pool if you prefer, and a small beach.

Regards Carol

Hope this helps

Dear Carol

Thank you for your feedback. It is very much appreciated. I have heard about the cracked crockery on another internet site. Didn't know about the salt and pepper pots. I will be on my guard. Your advice regarding the block will also save me time. I haven't been on an all inclusive holiday before so will be interested to see how this pans out. Thank you also for the warning regarding the pool. I shall probably use the quieter pool although I prefer sea bathing. I am looking forward to visiting Turkey and Ephesus so will try and make the effort to see it. Thank you once again. Mel

Hi Mel

You are very welcome. Forgot to say they have pool towels, so that makes the case lighter ! I hope you have a lovely relaxing time.
