I went on this tour last year and it was very enjoyable, the places we visited were lovely and the hotel was very good. Our tour manager, Jonathan, was great too, I have been with him twice now.

Hi Fiona, I'm on the 5 April tour and I was thinking of doing the exact same thing, rather than travel very early in the morning to Gatwick. What hotel are you staying at? I'm torn between the Sofitel (VERY expensive but walking distance to the terminal) or one of the others (cheaper but need to rely on a shuttle bus).

I'm booked into travelodge central which is close to the airport and only £19. I've stayed in Travelodge before. They're basic and busy but for one night i manage. The shuttle bus is easy to pick up from the bowels of the airport and the lodge is 10 mins away. I'll be arriving from Aberdeen about 7ish so keep in touch if you decide to join me. If not i'll meet you on the trip.

Fiona, a quick note to let you know that it's looking like I will have to work the evening beforehand so I'll be travelling to Gatwick in the morning rather than staying over. Urghh! Yes, I am going to Tuscany on 27th September. I holidayed with 'JY in Andalucia last year, and it was brilliant!

I LIVE ONLY AN HOUR FROM THE AIRPORT AND DONT HAVE TO LEAVE HOME UNTIL 7.30 AM but will look out for you at gatwick.

(Also have new pc and keep making errors as you can see!)
