Hi Anita,
and Welcome.
What Annie says is true - once you have taken the 'first step' you will open up a new world of lovely places to see and great people to meet. We have all 'been there' so know how daunting it can be but once we have conquered that initial fear/apprehension we have found that we really can have a good time.
We all travel with Just You for different reasons - some are divorced or separated, some have partners/spouses who don't like to travel and some are widowed, but we are all in the 'same boat' - the alternative is not to go anywhere. I know your situation (for me a little longer than you) so know what you must be going through.
I jumped in at the deep end and went away for Xmas for my first trip. I have never looked back. I now have friends from different trips I have done - in fact 2 from my very first trip. So you may have different ' people by your side' but that is good and you will have a lot of fun.
If you think a Discovery Weekend would suit you best, then go for it. If you like it then you may want to go somewhere else (like Annie) or there may be somewhere you have always fancied going but never got the chance - now you can - so go. It really is that easy you know.
Your tour manager will take really good care of you - it is safe - and you don't have to worry about anything. I hope I have allayed your fears. If there is anything you need to know, Olly will give you information and you can ask others on the Community if you are not sure.
Have a brilliant time (wherever you choose)
Be happy,
Best wishes,
Lesley
