Its my first trip with JY & am really looking forward to it. Just trying to work out what money to take. Can anyone advise me if we can pay for optional trips using credit cards or is it best just to take dollars.

Any advice would be appreciated & if there is anyone else going on the same trip - looking forward to meeting you.

Hi I did this trip in March and had a fantastic time! Highlights for me were San Francisco, Vegas and the Grand Canyon. The optional excursions are paid in dollars and are fairly cheap, so allow a couple of hundred for them. The only expensive excursion is the Grand Canyon trip, in the region of $300 or so and we paid for it by credit card. You will need a fair amount of cash or use your credit card for meals, as only breakfasts are included. A gang of us enjoyed Bubba Gumps in San F and Long Beach, great restaurant and the buffet in the Stratosphere is also very good. It is a hectic trip, with loads to see and highlights every day. The hotels are very good quality throughout, but don't eat in the Angeleno in LA, overpriced and the service is very pushy! Have a great trip!
