Is there anybody else going on this trip. It's my first time with Just You. Am wondering what type of clothing etc to take on what is essentially a Coach/Train Holiday and no idea what the weather is like in Canada during the first 2 weeks of September.

Hi there,

I'm doing the Canada trip on 8 Sept and I've been advised to take "layers" as it can be chilly in the morning but warm in the afternoon, so that's what I'll be doing. Also to take comfortable shoes/clothes for any walking, but that boots weren't really needed.

Hope this is of help to you

Regards

Anne

Hi All

I'm on this one too. This is my third Page&Moy trip, second with Just You and I'm sure we'll have a blast. All the stress of holiday logistics is handled by JY so you can sit back and enjoy yourself. Definitely packing layers as Canadian temperatures vary and change rapidly. Also taking a kag in case of rain and for the whale watching. Bring extra cash for the excursions as the Tour Manager can't take credit cards, and don't forget your camera battery charger! See you at Terminal 5.

Hi thanks for your reply regarding the Rocky Mountaineer Hol. and the packing of extra clothing for the Canadian weather. Not sure I like the idea of ther tour operators not taking Credit Cards,as you never know how much to take plus if you get too much C$ you loose heavily on trading it back in the UK, also not a good idea carrying a lot of cash about when your on thr move all the time! but as you say I'm sure we will all have a great time, my first with this Company. Not sure if you male or female as you didn't say so this lady is saying 'See you Soon'

Hi again, we've also been concerned about carrying cash.

We are two ladies of " a certain age ", but very young at heart!!

See you in 2 weeks

Hi Ladies

I suggest a thin money belt that can be worn, around the waist, under trousers or a skirt ("Go Travel Accessories do several - you can usually buy them at the airport). They are useful for protecting your passport as well. They might make you look like you've put on a couple of pounds, but they are safer than a handbag!

See you next week

Hi ladies,

I'm going to Canada on the 8th Sept and like you I'm not too happy about having to take so much money in cash with me to pay for the excursions that I will want to do. Also not sure how much to allow for meals during the day and in the evenings - do you have any ideas for this? I'm doing the Alaska add on and hopefully will be able to use a card on board the ship.

Enjoy your trip

Anne
