Hi I have just booked on the Lake Garda trip 7/9/10. It would be lovely to hear of anyone on this trip. Also anyone who has done it before and can tell me of their expeiences.

Hi Sue, I have also booked for Lake Garda. I have not been on one of these holidays before so feeling a little apprehensive. It's good to be able to contact other travelers before the holiday. Carol Carr

Hi Carole, Nice to hear from you. I am new to JU as well. I have had contact from another traveller (also called Sue) she is booked and has done lots of JU tours. That is very re-assuring.

I am coming up from Devon. Where do you live? Are you going from Gatwick too?

Hi Sue, Good to here from you. I am from York and will also be going to Gatwick. I hope to travel down the day before and stay overnight at one of the air port hotels although I have not booked anything yet. What brought you to book with JU?. I lost my partner almost three years ago and felt that it was about time I took the plunge and started socialising again.

Hi again Carol, Sorry to hear that you lost your partner. It must be difficult to get over that. Good for you for taking the plunge and booking a holiday.

I am divorced and have been for 7 years. I just decided that JU may be a nice way to go on hols rather than tagging along with friends. It will be a nice way to meet some new people and hopefully make new friends. It has to be good for the self esteem to go out and meet nice, like minded people. Some thing I am not very good at doing at home.

It is nice to have broken the ice with you. Makes it seem less of the unknown (if you know what I mean). Please keep in touch.

I am thinking of doing this holiday, I am also in Devon, are you going from Gatwick the day before? I have done 2 JU holidays in the past, both great.

Hi Valc, So nice to hear from you. This will be my first JU hol so don't know what to expect. I feel assured by other postings, including yours', that it will be fine. I hope you do book it as it would be nice to have a fellow Devonian on the trip.

I will have to go up the day before but haven't yet booked a hotel. I may be able to stay with friends. If you do book the holiday maybe we could travel up together. Where in Devon are you? I am in Lympstone.

Hi All

I'm booked on this holiday, travelling to Gatwick, staying overnight the day before at a B&B, only 5 mins from airport, very good place to stay I can highly recommend. It would be good to meet up with everyone at Gatwick Airport somewhere, lets hope the volcanic ash doesn't stop our trip later in the year. I have heard some good reports of this trip so really looking forward to a fun packed holiday.

Hello..Lake Garda !!,

My name is Sue, this is my first holiday "alone"..I will be leaving Barnstaple, north Devon on the 10th May. Coach to Gatwick 8.30am, staying overnight at the Skylane hotel, to fly out to Lake Garda on 11th May at 12.15....black cloud permitting !!

So looking forward to this !!

Hope to make some new friends and enjoy my "freedom"...
