I am trying to pluck up courage to book this amazing holiday, I am new to this, need reassurance that it will be ok!

Hi ,had a great time on this holiday [my second JY] in Oct 09 . I flew from Manchester via Atlanta, onward from Atlanta is an internal flight[ 5 hrs],so on-board meals not included -so go from Heathrow. Book Alcatraz trip on line before you go, and do the big Grand Canyon trip. Itinerary Doesn't say so ,but you do get the chance to go to the Canyon Skywalk . Book it -do it enjoy it.

Hi, I did this trip back in November 2006. It was my first long haul holiday ever and the second trip that I had done alone. At the time I was really apprehensive but couldn't fault what we did. From beginning to end the whole holiday was well organised and everyone very friendly right from the start when we met in the executive lounge at Heathrow. The party I travelled with was quite large and consisted of all ages. The tour was busy and tiring at times, however, I would certainly do it all again if there wasn't so many other places I want to visit. You will see some amazing places and have wonderful memories to look back on. If I were you I would definitely go for it. I am now so confident about Just You holidays that I have booked China plus the Yangtze river add on for April this year - not bad for someone who is known for being quite shy. Hope this helps. Hi cmtraveller, I'm also a green newbie to single travel. I would love to do this trip in September but want to get to know a couple of fellow travellers first. Must admit I'm more nervous of the flight on my own than the actual holiday! Would love to hear from you and others interested in this trip.

It is good to hear from you, yes I am quite nervous too about flying on my own, I am from Edinburgh, so I need a flight to Manchester or Heathrow as well, I have not booked the holiday yet, but I think I will quite soon, it is nice to hear from others who are interested in the trip and it definately makes me feel more confident.

Good to hear from you again, I have made up my mind I am going to phone to book tomorrow for the 13th September trip, I am planning to fly down to Heathrow the day before and stay the night in a hotel, I will keep you posted when I actually book!!

After weeks of deliberation, I HAVE FINALLY BOOKED MY HOLIDAY !! I am going on 20th September, I am flying down to Heathrow the day before for the flight out on the 20th. I was really nervous about booking, but I did it and I am now quite excited. HAVE YOU BOOKED YET?

I would like to hear from anyone else, who is going on the same date please.

Congratulations Carol. Well done you! OK, that does it - I'm booking tomorrow. I'll do the same trip and also stay overnight in London before Heathrow departure. I think this company does a 'get together evening' prior to departure, don't they? This is getting exciting. Pleeease ask the editor for my email address and we can correspond more easily and share 'butterfly' moments!!

Hi Carol,

I've booked - 20 Sept from Heathrow. Looking forward to the holiday but feel terrified of the 8 hour flight! I rang up and found out that 40 others are already booked on this trip.
