I am going to Costa Rica on 16th March, havn't had any responses to my original message, can you let me know all about it when you come back, how much money do you think we will need and are you going to take currency and travellers cheques?

Hi all of you early Costa Rica travellers. I'm going in November. And would be gratfull to hear how it went. And recieve any comments or tips with regard to this trip.

We have just got back from the Nov 09 Costa Rica jaunt. Bloody fantastic but very wet. It was just coming out of the wet season so to be expected really but wet through to your knickers on some days. Take good waterproofs not shower proofs. The second week was much drier but still hot and humid. It's a fantastic country. Apparently there were several earthquakes whilst we were there but were unaware of them other than from the news.

Take colones and US dollars and possible some euros for madrid airport. You can charge most things to your hotel and pay by credit card. Don't forget your torch, it gets very dark very early. Would highly recommend this holiday.
