Is anyone travelling to Thailand on 8th July 2010 as this is my first single holiday and it would be nice to know someone before we travel! Sarah.

Hia I am also going on this trip, which I now believe is departing 4 July and not 8 July. This is also my first trip with Just you. Look forward to meeting you.

Hi there both of you,

I went on this holiday over Christmas & New Year 2005/6. You'll absolutely love it. The Asian guides who travelled with us from Bangkok were brilliant.

There was a good fun group, the hotels were lovely & you'll love the food.

Take antibacterial hand gel & wipes.

When I went the River Kwai trip was optional, now it's included. It's a fantastic day out. Also the floating market in Bangkok & the trishaw ride through Bangkok with police outriders front & rear of us. The elephant ride at Chiang Mai was good fun too.

Bet you think it's a fantastic holiday!

Thanks for the info and hand tips, the countdown has begun in earsnt now with just two weeks to go and starting to get really excited, albeit a bit nervous about my first trip with Just You and travelling on my own...but as they say...a stranger is just a friend you have not met yet.

Hi

When I posted my original message it was departing on 8th July, but it is now 4th July. I had a bit of a panic about getting the time off work, but managed to change my holiday dates thankfully! I'm really looking forward to it and also a little nervous too. I was beginning to think that I wasn't going to get a reply on here about this trip, but at last I have, so thank you. I look forward to meeting you too, at least we both "know" someone now!!

Hia Safa2707,

I know what you mean about being nervous, but just remember all the people going on any of these holidays just want to go away but not on their own, just like you. Once you get into the Executive Lounge you'll find a great friendly bunch of people - it's always the same!! You'll find refreshments of all sorts & snacks. Have a drink, the relief of getting shot of your suitcase & actually there on time & meeting your fellow passengers will make you feel you deserve one!

Justyou encourage people to mingle around & sit with different people in the dining room, or out at restaurants, & the same on the coach. They are all ages, I went to South Africa last with them in February & the ages ranged from 40ish to over 70. Often there are younger ones too.

I can recommend all the holidays I've been on with them, Thailand, S. Africa, Northern Cyprus, Kusidasi Turkey,& Cuba.

Have fun & an important tip carry a loo roll with you when out of the hotel at all times!!

Keeping a daily notebook diary of the names of places is a great help when you come back and are looking at your photos. Then you don't up end up thinking "What on earth was the name of that place!"
