Hello...I am a first time traveller and am still dithering about booking the Magic of Kenya in Oct/Nov 2010. Anyone else booked? Also looking at the Holyland again in Oct/Nov? Any comments?

I am going on the Magic of Kenya departing 29th Sept with the add on as well. I am traveliing with a Lady I met on a JY Poland and the Tatra Mountains trip and also have travelled with her to Austrian Lakes. We are really looking forward to this trip. I think this will be my 6th JY holiday.

Hope to see you if you book this trip

Hi Val

I went on this trip last June it was brilliant.

We ranged in age from 25yrs to 69yrs.

20 ladies and two men!

Still in touch with two of the ladies.

My first long haul trip and second holiday with JY.

I am going to China on the 20th Oct this year (the wonder of china) so I must like JY.

I was very nervous on my first JY holiday went to Italy. The group were very nice, we all got on.

You will be fine once you are at Heathrow checked in ,and in the VIP lounge having a drink and nibbles.

Hi all

Have just got back from this holiday went on the 3rd March, it was absolutely fantastic just wish I could do it again for the first time. The extension was so well worth booking, gave you time to relax and also visit Haller Park which is a must. Be prepared with your tips when on excursions, as a guideline 100-200 kenyan schillings (just less than a £1-£2)is very acceptable as sometimes you have about 5 different people with you on the excursions (guides, entertainers, waiters, drivers etc) so it can become a little expensive but oh so worth it, just be prepared.

Hi Val,

Not going on this holiday, but i have been to Kenya 12 times. I love the country so much. Its hard to see how some of the Kenyans live but they are so kind. Such lovely people. The Safari will take you breath away. Not stayed in the same hotel on the beach but i know it, its a nice one. Hope you have a nice time. If you would like to know any info, please leave me a message and i will try to answer it.
