Looked at this holiday on numerous occasions but haven't yet gained the courage to book as I have never been on holiday alone before but always met up with friends at the airport of departure. Has anyone out there booked this? The thought of the journey on my own and changing at Madrid (I've heard horror stories about this airport} fills me with dread.

I'm booked to go on this holiday in November. I would'nt worry if I was you. Normally the tour manager travels with the group and will see you through the airport.
