Jaya and I are hoping to meet up on the Saturday at Destinations, Olympia.(I will have a non-JY friend with me as she is coming for a day out)
I have been to the show the last couple of years and enjoyed it not just because of the Stands but for the talks giv en in the Experts Theatre plus the Stanford Writers Festival. For example this year on one of the days there will be some one giving a talk on Magdalena Island. That could be interesting for anyone doing The Chile, Atacama to Patagonia tour because whilst in Patagonia there is a trip included to Magdalena Island to see the thousands of penguins.

Which day(s) are you hoping to be at the Destinations Show? I am not sure when I will be going but I do hope to get there this year - if only to experience a taster of all the holidays I would love to go on - it really doesn't help with decisions!

Hils, I haven't sent letters before so I didn't realize how long it took to respond to them, thank you for the heads up. I haven't asked JY to alter anything like you did for Tibet, when the itinerary was swapped around on your recommendation, which resulted in us on the second trip having a better experience.

Hi VickieAlthough I am a JY fan , I am a little disheartened at the moment.I sent a letter approximately 26th November, snail mail, via Matt regarding Burma, asking if he could please pass it on to the appropriate member of staff in Customer Services.I had just returned from this trip and was still on a high which was reflected in the letter which was rather long, for which I now apologize.Unfortunately I have had no acknowledgment of receipt of this letter. So am thinking JY says it listens to it's customers, but obviously not all the time...Perhaps you would be kind enough to check whether my letter did actually arrive, please?(My holiday feedback form arrived here after I had sent my letter, and after sending that back I received an acknowledgement of that).Happy Christmas Di

Happy New Year! Glad you enjoyed Burma as much as I did. JY can, and will, take 28 days to reply to a letter! The one I sent re our Tibet trip, was bang on the 28 days, and I still had to nag them about it beforehand. With Christmas/New Year etc., your reply could take a lot longer!
