I'm a nervous flier, but have thoroughly enjoyed all five of my helicopter flights. Helicopters are such a great way to see sights from a different perspective. Because they don't take many passengers, the biggest I've been on took seven, you're no sooner on board than you're up in the air. With fabulous scenery to enjoy you really won't have time to be nervous! Jaya the trip in Zambia is a must. The falls are spectacular from the ground but even more so from the air. I hope you can make the flight.
I have never done a helicopter flight either. Perhaps I will be brave enough to do one in Zambia if there is an opportunity to do so.

Jaya

Hi Paul, I've done three helicopter flights and loved them all! They are a brilliant way of seeing scenery close up and I've felt absolutely safe each time. In Zambia I had the most amazing views of the Victoria Falls - although a friend of mine was afraid to do the heli flight she proceeded to do a microlite over the Falls, the thought of which terrified me! So we are all different! But I would encourage you to do a heli flight in the future if you get the chance - the views will quickly turn your fears into excitement!

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Cindy

I'm not sure which I was afraid of the most. The helecopter ride or the comment from you if I didn't go on it. Lol

To be honest I wasn't comfortable doing them and I would've been way outside my comfort zone. I may live to regret not going up in one and I still may do on further tours. You never know.

Paul,

I did reply some where my thoughts on you NOT doing the helicopter flight but the full response was not posted!!..honest I wasn't that nasty LOL!!

I think you missed a great opportunity to see some fantastic views but I do understand you apprehension (that's one word for it) as I can do helicopter flights etc, but you wouldn't get me into vast expances of sea, we all have our own phobias..

Can you just try one day, if you would see the picture of my first helo flight I looked absolutely terrified and I was but I have done many since..

I did mention this in my review and on many other postings that those left behind HAD to arrange their own transport, which I did not agree with either.

Hi Lesley

I've just returned from this tour and I must say what a great tour it was. The hotel you mentioned isn't the best as it has no restaurant and no bar and yes as Wanny says the breakfast is on paper plates and with plastic knifes and forks. The rooms are large and comfortable and although themhotelmisnt in the best of areas as long as you go out for your evening meal in a group you will be fine. There is a very good Chinese restaurant close by which many of us went to.

I wouldn't let the bad reviews and even what Wanny and myself said let this put you off this tour. There are so many great sites to see and as Cindy says you may never get the chance to see these things again.

And Cindy sorry to say that I wasn't brave enough to do any of the Helecopter trips. I know I'm a wimp.
