Due to our stay at Moniga for June 2011, Just You had changed the hotel as we were not happy due to food and distance from the main town- you could just see Lake Garda from one advantage point by standing on the wall :P

The worst hotel I stayed at was in Marriett, just outside of Atlanta with another company- so far into town and even further for the nightlife of Atlanta. The other hotels on that trip were all in walking distance of the cities.

After last year's Garda holiday I posted a review (under a different name) on Tripadvisor as did Lisa who was on the same holiday as me. We were also worried when we read what someone had posted before we went, but I would just say that you should ignore that review - sometimes people have their own agenda. Hopefully you will go and enjoy it as much as we did

This is a lovely hotel.

I can understand when reading review sites such as Trip Advisor why you may be a little concerned but please let me try to put your mind at rest. We do continuously review every part of the holidays we offer, including the hotels. Part of this review process is taking on board ratings that our customers make in the post-holiday questionnaires, comments via letters, emails and feefo as well as those posted on the community. In addition to this we also get feedback from the tour manager. If we were in any doubt about the quality, we would change the hotel we use.

I've just found a review from one of last years groups (there are a few more if you search in the Reviews section) - it seems a few people had also taken a look at trip advisor first and were a bit nervous, but then didn't encounter the same issues when they stayed at the hotel.

I too am looking at the Verona Opera festival trips to Lake Garda but am a little concerned about the extremes of reviews of the hotel on TripAdvisor.- admittedly some rather old. Are you able to reassure me that the accommodation is of a good standard and truly 4*?

This is a great trip and I recommend it. We had so much fun, and I think only one free day- not so much a free day as we went to see Aida at the Arena in Verona.

Hi ALZI,

On this trip there are the three included excursions:

The Lake Garda Tour (full day),

Venice (full day)

Verona (three-quarter day)

I only have two optional excursions listed in the system which are as brochured - the Cliffhanger Lunch and the Gardens of Sigurta.
