Hi Gail
Don't let travelsickness put you off doing any trips.Although I am usually OK on a coach I have always suffered with motion sickness.
I have always been very seasick and I was extremely ill when I was on a horse being led on a leading rein by a Masai guide when I was on a Kenyan safari. Last year when I went on an elephant safari I was that worried about being sick on the elephant that I took travel pills--I was absolutely fine.
However, when I went on my one and only cruise which was to Alaska I felt grim within a few hours of sailing on calm water. Travel pills didn't work--so rather than be ill all holiday I paid about £30 for an injection off the Ship's doctor and it lasted all week.. Ace!! My health was then probably better than most other passengers on the ship.
So my advice is if you can get a jab/injection if you know or think you are likely to be ill go for it.
By the way I am a frequent JY and Travelsphere traveller.. Was scared silly when I did my first holiday, like many others.
I invariably read the threads on the community, but had never registered to send e-mails but after your comments I was spurred on to reply because of all my problems with motion sickness.
Kind regards
Diane
