Private chaffeur service

Like a lot of travellers I am thinking of booking a short haul holiday to get my flying wings back into shape.  The private chauffeur service refers to serving mainland UK airports - does this apply to all airports offered by JY i.e not using connecting flights but flying direct to the destination.  What happens if the flight is changed by the sirline to an airport which is outside the 100 mile trip limit?

Thank you for your message and we are looking forward to welcoming you back on a Just You holiday very soon.

In terms of the Private Chauffeur Service, this does apply to any airport if the flight has been booked through Just You as part of the holiday. In the unlikely event that the airline changes the departure airport we would continue to cover the first 100 miles as per our terms and conditions. If this did happen we would contact you as soon as possible to make any necessary arrangement.

Which short-haul holiday are you looking at booking?

For some reason posts are not showing up as new when i click the link so I missed your reply.  I am considering the French & Italian Riviera departing from Liverpool in May.  I was going to do this 2 years ago but couldn't ft it in!!

Following on from Jonah’s question, on page 124 of JY’s new brochure it says that the ‘Private Chauffeur Service is based on travelling from/to one residential address within 100 mile route from a mainland UK departure airport for the main flight (usually Heathrow or Gatwick), regional flight or connecting flight provided in the Flight Inclusive holiday’.

I live just a few miles north of Birmingham and Heathrow is 115 miles from me; likewise Gatwick is 150 miles away. Based on your current T&C’s (£3 per mile over 100 miles - not much if you say it quick!) that would cost me £90 for a return journey from LHR and a whopping £300 if I decided to fly from Gatwick. In short, your chauffeur service is a non-starter for me and would seem to be designed only for those who live in London, the South East and Manchester.

However, I note that, on page 6 of your brochure, you say ‘If you’d prefer to drive to the airport yourself, we can organise free parking for you’ - up to the value of £100 (page 124). Does this option still apply if, like me, you happen to live outside of the 100 mile radius?

ps I would urge JY to compare their ‘service’ with that offered by Saga & Titan Travel who include a chauffeur transfer to LHR & LGW from any address on the UK mainland. I’ve used it twice and it works pretty well.

Hi Jonah
I've booked that trip for next May, also flying from Liverpool and I've booked the private transfer. I initially booked it for 2020 but that was cancelled, rebooked for this year and again cancelled. Here's hoping it can go ahead in May as planned. I was due to go from Birmingham initially, which would have been better for me, so I'm keeping an eye on things just in case the Birmingham flight is reinstated (is that likely Matt?). Otherwise I may see you at Liverpool!

Thanks Matt that's really kind of you. All's well here thank you, I'm so pleased that life is starting to get back to something like normal for the JY team, you've had a dreadful couple of years. 
Can't wait to start travelling again!

Sorry for the delay in responding to you and thank you for your comments. You can of course make use of our airport parking if you would prefer to drive. In terms of the service, the feedback that we have received is that our Just You customer prefer the private service rather than stopping multiple times to collect other travellers along the way.
