Hi Kedi,

Sure, here are the details:

DAY 12 KANHA NATIONAL PARK - MUMBAI
We're off to Rudyard Kipling's birthplace, the bustling, modern metropolis of Mumbai. A cosmopolitan melting pot, it's the perfect contrast of old and new. Lapped by the Arabian Sea, Mumbai – or Bombay, as Kipling would have known it – lies on the coast of Western India. Here, shiny, towering offices and apartment blocks jostle with the colonial Gothic architecture of times gone by.
We'll be welcomed by the Gateway to India's looming arch over the seaside harbour. Stroll around the port, take in the original Art Deco cinemas and visit the sublime Taj Palace Hotel in all its architectural glory.

Many thanks,
Vickie

Thanks Vickie

Sounds great! Could you please confirm what time we arrive in Mumbai and whether it is a coach tour as well as a "stroll" round the harbour?

Hi Vickie
I have just read the itinerary for day 12 of the Tiger Trail that you had posted in response to Kedi's query.

Please could you advise how we are going to do the sightseeing in Mumbai as we don't arrive in Mumbai until 18.40 on that day (according to my latest information)? I can't see how much sightseeing can be pulled in either on day 13 as our flight back to the UK is at 13.15.

Our flight on day 12 doesn't leave Nagpur International until 17.00, hence arriving at Mumbai 18.40.
Surely there must be earlier flights in the day from Nagpur to Mumbai!?

Kind Regards
Di

Hi Kedi,

Apologies, I've checked with our holiday organisers and this information is slightly unclear. You will arrive in Mumbai at approx 6.30pm, so the 'stroll' mentioned is if you wish to do so at your leisure, rather than being included as part of an excursion.

However, there is no included dinner on this night so you may prefer to get together with your fellow travellers and head for a meal, rather than a stroll around.

We will update this information so it's clearer on the itinerary.

Many thanks,
Vickie

Hi Vickie
I am on the India - The Iconic and the Wild tour departing Heathrow on February 21st.
The hotels shown on my paperwork for the first week (The Invitation to India part of the tour)differ to those on the web site.My paperwork show The Grand hotel in Delhi at the start and end on the first week and and the Ramada Plaza in Agra and the Ramada in Jaipur.
But I am more confused at the end of the Tiger Trail part of the trip when Dina and you state the flight to Mumbai arrives at 1840. I know Dina Is only on the Tiger Trail part and I am doing a combined trip.My paperwork shows the flight departing Nagpur at 2040 and arriving in Mumbai at 2220 on the 9th of March. The flight back to Heathrow departs at 1315 the following day. This does not give any time to explore Mumbai.
Please can you clarify this as I understood the combined tour was simply the two separate holidays back to back. .
Confused Perter.

Thanks for the clarification Vickie. Whilst it is disappointing that we do not have any time for the anticipated full day tour in Mumbai it does leave us some extra time before heading for Nagpur airport. Can you please advise what has been arranged for the earlier part of the day?

Hi Peter,

Apologies for the confusion, the times on your paperwork were incorrect, but will be updated correctly in your final paperwork. I can confirm the flight departs Nagpur at 17:00 and arrives Mumbai at 18:40.

Many thanks,
Vickie

Hi Kedi,

You will have free time earlier in the day to do as you wish, so you can relax or do some more exploring Smile

Many thanks,
Vickie

Hi Vickie
Thanks for answering one of my queries regarding this holiday but could you clarify why the hotels on the website differ to those on my paperwork for the Invitation to India part of the trip. Also on the final day of the the Invitation to India tour we stay in a hotel in Delhi before those that tour only fly home the following day but I stay in that hotel for an extra night . Those flying out to start the Tiger Trail part of the holiday stay in a different hotel.
Peter
