I have booked this trip I'll be 47 by then. Dont know your age but hope that helps. I went to Germany this year and there was a young lad but the majority were around my age or older. Had a brilliant time though.

Hi, I will be 27 when we go. Probably will be the youngest on the trip but the age thing doesnt bother me. Ive always wanted to do Italy and this trip was ideal. Are you doing the get together the night before we go? I have booked to do it.

Guess I’ll be somewhere in the middle of the 2 of you then at 34, really looking forward to finally making it to Italy (beginning to wonder if it was on the other side of the world!)

Hi Stephanie, I haven't booked in for the night before as my Dad lives in Essex and is going to run me to the airport.

I look forward to meeting both you and Elaine in 3.5 weeks!

Hello fellow travellers I am going to Classic Italy next week and have booked on the overnight stay the night before. I am 50 something and more worried about the drive down and finding the airport parking, than the trip.

Hi Lesley,

I understand how daunting it must be travelling by yourself so I have had a look into parking etc for you.....

It will take you approx 2.5 hours to travel to Gatwick from Bristol. I understand you are stopping over the night before departure, which gives you a little more time to get your head together. When you arrive at the airport, there should be a sign for 'holiday airport parking'. Take a ticket and follow the signs for 'arrivals'. After parking, just head to reception, where you hand over your keys in return for a receipt(keep this safe). When you return from your holiday, return the receipt to reception and your keys will be handed back to you safe and sound.

This secure carpark is located about 2 miles from the airports North terminal so there is shuttle bus that runs every half an hour to the main airport which takes about 7-9 minutes. I have priced up for an average 8 day stay and it comes out at between £60-£65.

I hope this helps!

Cheryl, your editor
