Thank you, Vickie.   As there is nothing on the paperwork to indicate a website address/section at which I could check-in on line (is one supposed to google for this and hope to get to the right place?) I shall just have to take my chances on seat allocation and check in when I get to B'ham airport.

My comment about making the pro forma documents clearer still stands.
