Having recently returned from this holiday (my sixth JY trip) I can say it was an excellent holiday and I met so many lovely and friendly people. (as I have on most of the JY trips)
What initially attracted me to this holiday, was that I’ve not done a cruise before, so this being just four nights on board would be a good taster, and so it was! In fact, quite a few of the people I met said the same thing
Our Tour Director Daniella was excellent and very knowledgeable of Greece and the Islands we visited on the trip. Nothing was too much trouble for Daniella, and she made the holiday extremely enjoyable for everyone! Should anyone decide to book this trip in the future, and Daniella happens to be your Tour Director you’ll be in good hands!
The hotel in Athens was a good choice and centrally located overlooking the Omonia (Concord) Square making Athens easy to explore. I felt the accommodation was of a good standard and the dinning and bar area very pleasant and the staff were friendly including staff at the front desk.
The tour of Athens and the visit to the Acropolis and the museum although as expected was very busy, was probably the highlight of that part of the Athens itinerary.
A number of us did the optional excursion to the ancient city of Delphi (Day 3) which was a full-day trip, and I believe most enjoyed the day, although the coach drive was approximately 2.5 hours each way, we did stop both ways for a comfort break including a nice restaurant on the way back just after leaving Delphi for lunch
The time spent of the Ship the Celestyal Discovery was enjoyable, and I felt the food and service was of a high standard, always plenty choices.

The drinks package included on the tour I found was adequate for me. There was also entertainment in the evenings at the Amphitheatre Show Lounge Deck 8/9 and there were some very good entertainers, definitely worth a visit.
If you’ve never done a cruise before, I would certainly recommend this holiday as it seemed like a perfect balance for a first-time cruise experience for those who wish to combine a city break and the charm of exploring some of the Greek Islands
I will certainly look to travel with JY in the future…
