Hi Vickie,

I got the final travel documents yesterday but did not get a chance to check them until today.

This only affects those of us doing the Hanoi add on (I think).

The itinerary for day 14 (19th November) reads "DAYS 14 Luang Prabang to Hanoi. After breakfast you'll transfer to the airport and fly to Hanoi, where you'll stay for the next three nights."

However, our flight to Hanoi is not showing as being until 19.15!

There may be a bit of confusion here with the timing of the flights to the UK for those not doing the add on but are we really going to the airport after breakfast for an evening flight or are there some other arrangements, not obvious from the itinerary, to fill in the day?

Hi Paul and Ian,

The day is free to spend at your own leisure.

The standard check-out time is at 12:00PM. You can leave your luggage at reception and it will be kept in the hotel store until leave to go to the airport.

You will need to be back at the hotel for 5.10pm, and our local guide will then take you to the airport.

There are also some optional tours you can book instead for the day, options include:

- Luang Prabang Cooking Class At Local Family Half Day Private Tour

- Luang Prabang Pottery & Temple Cycling Half Day Private Tour

These tours are arranged locally, not through Just You.

Thanks,

Vickie

Thank you Vickie, so pleased we are not at an airport all day & I promise not to start another thread re cookery demonstrations. 🙂

Nearly time for us to head off and with one of the longest threads for recent tours (146 posts & 7,382 views as I write this) then my/our thanks for putting up with us and answering all our queries re this trip.

Best, Ian.

Hi SarahS, Thank you and I am sure there will be a review, or 2, when we went back. Someone I was in Burma with last year did this trip earlier this year and told me it was a great trip.  Ian

Hi Vickie

Just trawling though this post to make sure I haven't missed anything and I can't see where you have replied to Ian about the final size of the group.

I also haven't had a reply to my query re the Sky lounge pass plus requesting 2 luggage labels.

Have made contact with Sue I - thanks.  If anyone else wants to meet us at the PI T4 Monday night ask Vickie for my e-mail address.

Picked up my last lot of dollars today so all getting very real 😃

Regards

When I went on this trip in February 5 of us went elephant riding on that day. Arranged at an agency in the town. I think it cost just  under $40 each and included a short boat trip to some small caves.

Hi Jonah,

There are 18 travellers booked on the tour departing on the 6th November. 9 taking the Untold Cambodia & Laos tour only, and 9 extending their stay with the Vietnam add-on.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Sue & others,

Although I am at LHR on 5th I'll pass on the meet up & catch up with you in the lounge next morning.

Not being unsociable - it is just that I have a good friend who lives in the USA who I have not seen for longer than either of us would care to admit. By co-incidence my friend will not only be in Europe but is coming into LHR on 5th after visiting relatives in France. I can't miss out on that......

In other news another friend is in Halong Bay today & sent some pics through earlier - looks nice and sunny.

I’m very grateful to JustYou for preserving the safety of travellers. I have just received the amended schedule for our holiday.

It must have taken some considerable work to rearrange our trip at such short notice so thank you. I’m also really pleased we are going to see the Cambodia Circus and the living Buddhist Monastery. Are we still going to visit the floating villages on Tonle Sap? I hope so!

I’ve slightly lost track of the itinerary but am just going to chill out and go with the flow... I’m sure it will all be a wonderful experience

Hi Vickie/Julia

This must rank as the holiday with the most changes and the most posts.  I have had a letter this morning changing the itinerary quite substantially.  The letter refers to an attached itinerary but I only have the letter detailing the changes.

I hope JY are going to issue a revised itinerary before we travel.  A change to one day is one thing but this sounds like quite a major swap around.

Regards
