For the editor: It would be nice if you could correct a persistent error in various brochures about this holiday. I've just received the small Festive Breaks brochure . The Costa Brava Christmas holiday is based in "Calella" at the Les Palmeres Hotel. There are two Calellas on this coast. The illustration in the brochure shows an idyllic promenade with restaurants right overlooking the beach. This is NOT the Calella of the holiday ( I've been to hotel Les Palmeras). The illustration is of the beach at Calella de Palafrugell (17210). Hotel Les Palmeras is located in the other Calella, much further south. They are easily distinguished as in the southerly Calella the main railway line to Barcelona runs between the promenade and the beach, which makes it very obvious that the illustration in the brochure is misleading. I pointed out this error years ago but no action has been taken. Customers will be very surprised to see that the pretty shoreline in the photo is of another resort altogether and may be justifiably annoyed at being misled. Time to correct a longstanding error next time a brochure is printed.
