This holiday looks amazing. Can you kindly tell me how many have booked so far and give me a rough idea of the age range please for the trip departing on 10 June? Also I read on here a while ago from another traveller that all optional extras on their trip had to be paid for in cash? Do you know if this is still the case or can we pay in advance or via cards whilst out there?

Also I'd love to hear from other travellers reading this who have already done this holiday, thank you!

So far there are 15 people booked on the 10th June. Ages range from 34 to 76, most are over 50 years old.

It is still the case that excursions have to be paid in the resort, in cash. Most prefer payment in Sterling aswell.

I'm going on this trip too on 10th June - I'm afraid I'm one of the over the 50's!

If we have to pay in sterling it would be useful to have an up-dated list of excursions prior to leaving.

I would also love to hear from anyone else who has been on this trip.,

You will be send a list of excursions for your trip around 12 weeks before you go. So there will be plenty of time for you to decide what you want to do.

I'm booked on this trip for the 10th June, it's my 50th birthday present to myself! This is my first holiday as a single traveller so no idea what to expect but i've always wanted to see the Rockies so really looking forward to it.

Thanks for your feedback on the trip. However I am disappointed to hear that optional excursions can still only be paid in cash at the resort (we are in the 21st Century now!). Also given that most prefer sterling this means we'll have to carry the cash (over £500 to do all optional excursions I believe) with us, as I assume the local cash machines will only give us Canadian $ . To carry this amount flies in the face of your own insurance cover which has a limit of £300 (£100 cash)?

I am also going to book this holiday to the Rockies in June. I am quite nervous,as it is my first time to holiday alone.It is nice to know other people are in the same situation.

I'm sorry this is inconvenient for you. We are looking at making it possible to pay for more excursions in advance, as we know some customers don't want to carry much cash.

Another option could be to withdraw cash from ATMs as you go, so you are never holding very much money on you. Remember to let your bank know if you plan to do this.

Thanks for your reply. From a personal viewpoint any optional excursions that can be paid for in advance would be greatly appreciated.

Isobell - well done on making that first step and booking a trip! As I wrote on an earlier post, there's nothing to worry about if my first holiday is anything to go by, it was really well organised and the people very friendly.
