Hi! This is my first holiday with Just You. If there is nothing scheduled on the itinerary are we free to explore Barcelona e.g. tapas bars & local food. Also can you confirm that in Spain people tend to eat later in the evening. In the schedule a tour of the famous Gaudi Cathedral is included - I am also interested in visiting other Gaudi buildings & park - is this possible?[/font]

Hello

You are certainly free to explore. We try to cover all the main sights but we also try to build in a little time for you to relax or do some of your own sightseeing, as we know everyone has their own interests too. You might find some of your group want to come with you.

I would definitely recommend a visit to Parc Guell in Barcelona. Gaudi lived in one of the very quirky houses here and you will see many of his artworks around.

It's true that the Spanish tend to eat later than we do. In many cities, people don't start coming out for the evening until 9 or 10pm, and it would be perfectly normal to eat at 11 or 12pm. That said, you'll be able to eat at your usual time too, if you prefer.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor
