Hi

I'm booked on the 23rd September trip to Golden West and Hawaii from Manchester. Really looking forward to it but would love to know how to get 3 weeks packing in a 20kg baggage allowance! Any tips gratefully accepted

Hi Pat,

Baggage allowance has changed recently...You are in luck!

You can take 2 pieces of check-in luggage weighing no more than 23kg each peice and 1 piece of hand luggage which has no weight limit (but just to be safe, pack all your main things in your check-in cases).

I am sure you will have no problems packing now, however to save space try putting small items of clothing inside your shoes as this is waisted space and always roll up as many items as possible istead of folding. This will reduce the creases in your clothes when you unpack. If you're taking shoes with sharp heels and have delicate fabrics like chiffon in your case, be sure to put them in shoe bags or - if that's too pricey - wrap them in t-shirts or towels. Put your essential items, such as tooth brush, hair brush, night wear and towel near to the top of the case for easy access when you arrive.

Obvious tip.....wrap all your toiletries in plastic bags incase they leak!

Hope this has helped, let me know how you get on.

Warm wishes

Thanks for the tips Cheryl. Is the baggage allowance so good on the Manchester to London shuttle as well? I'm coming from Manchester and last time I did the shuttle restriction was 20kgs which limited our transatlantic allowance as well? I hope it is as it will make life much easier.

Cheers

Hi Pat,

Just to put your mind at rest, Just You is not a dating agency. Our holidays are mainly aimed at single travellers purely to give them the oportunity to meet new friends from different parts of the country and we often have couples travelling with us aswell. If you are worried about this in any way, You can join a pre-holiday get together where you can meet all your fellow travellers before you jet off on your holidays!

I hope this has helped!

In regards to your baggage allowance email, I am abit confused as to which airport you are flying from? Have you booked a regional connecting flight from Manchester to London Heathrow, or booked a shuttle with a different company? Either way, I can find this information out for you, I just need to clarify.

Many thanks

Thanks once again Cheryl. My mind is put at rest now! I've booked a regional connection from Manchester to London with yourselves and would be grateful for any information you could get for me about how this affects my baggage allowance.

Thanks again

Hi again Pat,

I have had a look into it for you and you will flying from Manchester with BMI. As before the baggage allowance is 2 pieces of luggage weighing no more than 23kg each and 1 piece of hand luggage. This is great news as it would be such a shame if you could only take one case on your connecting flight!!

I hope this has cheered you up, it would have made my day if this was the allowance when I visited America last year.

Warm wishes,

Hi Cheryl

Thank you so much that is fantastic news! It is so difficult going for any length of time. I'm afraid I can't pack small however much I try!

Thanks again. Can't wait now.

That is quite alright Pat,

I hadn't realised myself that the baggage allowance had changed so it's good news for me too!

I know exactly what you mean about trying to pack light....packing an overnight bag is a big enough chore for me.

Any other questions, let me know.

Kind regards

Hi Cheryl

Another question if you don't mind. I've just come back from Eastern Europe and our tour guide Jana was incredible. She worked so hard to make things go as smoothly as possible. Do you know who is the guide for September's Hawaii trip and how many people are on the tour so far?

Thanks

Pat

Hi Pat,

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for a colleague to get back to me regarding the tour manager. At the moment, the tour is nearly full with less than 10 spaces left. Your tour manager will be MARK POISSON. I hope this helps. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to ask...that is what I am here for!!

Warm wishes,
