Hi, has anyone been on the above holiday recently and if so what was the standard of the hotels like as I am thinking of going next year, only I have just returned from the Big Texas Adventure and stayed in a Holiday Inn which was obviously a low cost budget hotel and have no intention of repeating the experience. I would hasten to add that the holiday itself was fantastic as was the Tour Manager but we don't spend this kind of money on holidays to be given paper cups to drink coffee out and plastic knives and forks to use for our breakfast.

It seems that Holiday Inn Express while just about acceptable in the UK, is at the budget bordering on hostel end of the North American market. I had a similar experience to you in Montreal on the New England trip last year. I agree, for the prices charged, we expect better.

Hello,

I went on this holiday last year and it was one of the most enjoyable I have been on with JY (14 and counting).

The standard of hotels varied from a few acceptable motel-type hotels to really good. None would I class as poor. Go for it, it is a great holiday with fantastic scenery.
