Hi, Is anyone else using this forum going on the Argentina/Brazil trip departing on the 2nd October? I have only booked today! This will be my first trip with Just You so I am really looking forward to it.

Hello,

I travelled here with Journey Latin America for Christmas and New Year in 2011 with my elder daughter. I would have gone with Just You but there were no tours at that time. We were getting wet on Copacabana Beach at midnight New Years Eve with I believe 5 million others. Buenos Aires was amazing and you must go upto the Recoletta and see Eva buried in her family tomb- Duarte I believe. Loved the on street Tango being performed and also the Tango shows with the biggest steaks that side of Texas.

Iquacu Falls so beautiful- loved every minute of it.

Rio de Janeiro was a mish mash. Christ the Redeemer was my main must see on my Bucket List. Oh wow. Sugar Loaf Mountain is in 2 stages- missed the second stage due to the long queue wating for the lift.

Hi Joy I did the Travelshere version of this tour last Sept and loved it, a fantastic holiday! The three places you visit - BA, Iguazu and Rio - follow the same itinerary as the Travelsphere tour so I know you will have a brilliant time. I loved BA, a very grand city and the excursions to the ranch and Tigre delta were well worth doing. La Boca was great, very atmospheric and the tango show was very enjoyable. Iguazu was amazing, even better than Victoria Falls as the scale of the waterfalls is mind boggling, with plenty of photo ops. Rio was amazing and we saw all the main sights. If you get the chance to do a favela tour, make sure you do, it was really interesting to see how these communities function.

Any questions, I'll do my best to answer them although I'm away from next Monday for a couple of weeks!

Cheers,

Bob

Thanks for your message Jan. It's a shame you didn't get right to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain:(

Hopefully it won't be as busy when I get here!
