Hello,

I have been looking around the website and I thought I would post a message and voice a few concerns in the hope that maybe someone could help me out.

I have recently seperated from my boyfriend of 5 years, and really feel the need to take a break for me. Unfortunately all my friends are now settled and wont travel without their partners. I want to go on a solo holiday, such as the ones advertised here, but I am a bit concerned about my age.

I am 25 and it seems a lot of the travellers on these holidays are much older. I dont have issue with this as I have friends who are in there 40s and 50s, but I have read a few of the posts on this website saying some travellers felt a bit left out being a lot younger. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I am extremely interested in the Goldenwest America tour in May 10, is anyone else going on this tour next year?

Anyway, I would love to book something and age is not an issue for me at all, but I was just worried about feeling left out a little, as I would like to socialise whilst on the tour.

Thanks,

Tx

Hi! I would not worry about being left out - if you get on with people of all ages, you will be fine and have a great time. I recently went on my first solo holiday and there were a couple of young people in the group. We all got on extremely well despite a varied age range. I personally think one is as old as one feels - you can be 100 and feel 21 and be 21 and feel 100! Be brave and book something. You will have a great time.

Hi There

I would say to you if its a holiday you want to do then BOOK it, yes I am sure you will be one of the youngest there but it should not matter as people do mix around, and I have found that people do not get left alone unless they want to. If the rep is doing the job right they should be on the look out to include people that might be on there own to much. I have been on few USA trips and as you have to buy food at night(TEA),the rep usually says meet in recedption at 19.00hrs she will then tell you what food places are local and people split of in groups for meals depending on what they eat. The days are usually long and full of things to see and do, so take a book and you might be glad of a few hours in your room to relax. The only holiday where I would say we did NIGHT LIFE till the early hours was in Nashville and Memphis on the music tour..
